Microsoft launches new webinar feature in Teams

Microsoft recently announced at their Spring 2021 Ignite Event that their Teams application would be getting a rehaul, with the introduction of several new features designed to improve the Teams experience for users. Their renewed focus for Teams is on stronger application integration with other apps within the 365 stack and improved communication between users.

If you’ve been keeping up with us at ServiceScaler, you would know that there’s one new Teams feature in particular that we’re especially excited about; webinars!

Historically, webinars on Teams had to be hosted as ‘live events.’ But now, hosts have the option to create custom registration forms, manage the audio and video sharing capabilities of the attendee’s, and govern the chatbox and Q&A feature.

If you’re more hands-on in your approach to marketing and technology, you can integrate Teams' webinars and Dynamics 365 (Microsoft’s CRM) to deliver and manage post-event activities. This can be used to direct simple webinar follow-up communications, through to more complex relationship management campaigns.

Sounds good? Follow Microsoft’s instructions to host your own webinar here.

At ServiceScaler, we will be testing out some of Team’s latest features in our upcoming webinar, Free Process Automation with Office 365. We have limited availability, so register here.
