I am the newly appointed Marketing and Communications Coordinator here at ServiceScaler. In my role, I have a lot of tasks complete on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The program which I have found to simplify task management and effectively work collaboratively with my team has been Microsoft Planner! It has an effortless integration with the other Office 365 apps so I can easily link my plans to Outlook or any Excel spreadsheets I am currently completing. Additionally, on Planner, I can assign (or be assigned) tasks from my co-workers which outline when they are due, as well as their priority and completion status.
I’ve also been loving the mobile option, which allows me to check what needs to get done next on my to-do list when I am working away from my desk. Another great feature of Planner is its collaboration with Microsoft Teams, the chat forum we use to communicate in our office. This integration allows us to get real-time notifications on Teams when tasks are assigned to us through Planner.
Overall, using Planner has been invaluable to my transition into work, and I look forward to creating even more customisable task boards to increase productivity in 2021.
