With adversity comes opportunity, and not in the way you might think!
For many of us in the professional services space, our working lives have been turned upside down in the last fortnight. Apart from the unprecedented rise in working from home, many of us have been inundated with requests to help and assist those who have been impacted through this troubling time.
But with adversity comes opportunity.
And I don’t mean opportunity to capitalise on the misfortune of others. The reality for many of us is that this will happen organically, given that our chosen professions will likely be in high demand over the coming months. What I’m referring to is the opportunity to establish operational changes in our business that can be carried on, and capitalised on, once the current turmoil comes to an end.
Moving to entirely digital processes and practices has been thrust upon us, not by choice, but by necessity. For those of us who have been operating this way for a long time, and suggesting everyone do the same, we can only hope you have seen the light!
“Doing it digital” is more efficient. More efficient means more transactions, with lower overheads. It will enable you to increase revenue, reduce cost, and provide better quality service to your client (Faster is always better, right?)
So my question to you is this. Once this all blows over, will you retain your digital adoption, or just go back to the way things were?
I suspect those who take this opportunity to get their digital strategy right will retain, and benefit, from their newfound digital operations, leaving the traditionalists in their wake.

Hi guys, Rob here from ServiceScaler. In today’s video, I’d like to talk to you about opportunity created through adversity. At the moment, everybody is racing to work from home, and to do that we need to digitise all of our business processes. Some are doing this better than others, and some have already done this, such as companies like ourselves. The opportunity comes when we do these things properly, and we continue to do them after the end of this period. Businesses who adopt digital transformation, and do it properly now, are going to reap the reward long-term. Businesses who operate digitally are more efficient, have lower overhead costs, can perform more transactions, and provide a faster service to their clients. The opportunity to digitally transform, and to do it properly, is now. The catalyst for change has occurred. It’s time to get on top of it, and it’s time to get it right. If you need assistance with your digital transformation strategy, reach out to me DM, or contact info in my profile. Thanks very much.
