Hi guys, Rob here from ServiceScaler. In today’s video I want to touch on what I expect to be unprecedented demand on legal services over both the short and medium term, with the fallout and the impacts of the Coronavirus, and how it’s impacting businesses and how it’s impacting families. Over the last few days, few weeks even, ServiceScaler has been assisting our clients to set up to work from home and what we’ve identified in this process is that lots of businesses that we’re working with don’t actually have much operational resilience, and what I mean by that is they can’t just pick up and work from home. Their critical business functions actually rely on them being in the office. Now during the time of unprecedented demand on legal services, I think the legal industry has an obligation to best support those who are most vulnerable through this period and you’re not going to be able to do that if you don’t have strong operational resilience now, what does operational resilience look like in the context of having to work from home? Well, you need to have the tools and the access and the functions to be able to perform the entirety of your job function, or your job role, to best service your clients. Now for most firms, that’s fine when you’re in the office, but when you’re at home things change. The way that you engage with your clients will change as we’ve seen already, how you access your documents and files, how you transact those documents and files with your client’s needs to change, and how you access your documentation, information, and your infrastructure will change and we’ve been delivering lots of services and digital transformation through to our clients to make sure that they are prepared for the demand that is going to be inbound that we’re expecting and to best be able to service their clients.
